hard of hearing- Respiratory protection to reduce the risk ofinhaling dangerous dust- Be sure to wear gloves when working withsaw blades and coarse materialsWhere practicable, keep saw blades in aseparate container.Connect the power tool to a dust receptionfacility when cutting wood. Dust release isinfluenced by the type of material you will workon, the importance of local deposition (acquisitionor source) and the proper adjustment ofcovering/ deflecting plate/ guide.Do not use saw blades made out of highspeedsteel (HSS steel). In times of non-use keep the push stick or thepush block with the electrical power tool at alltimes.2. Maintenance and repairThe noise level depends on different factorssuch as the quality of the saw blades, the conditionof saw blade and power tool. If possible, use saw blades that were constructed fornoise reduction, maintain the electrical powertool and tool adapter regularly and keep themin good condition in order to reduce the noiselevel.Inform the person who is responsible for thesecurity of the power tool immediately whenyou detect defects in the electrical power tool, the protection equipment or the tool.3. Working safelyUse the push stick or a push block to pass thework piece by the saw blade safely.Do not carry out folds or grooves without usingproper protective devices over the saw table.Do not use this electrical power tool to createslashes (grooves finished on the work pieceitself).Use only saw blades for which the maximumspeed is lower than the maximum spindlespeed of the table saw and which are suitablefor the material you intend to cut.Always use the transporting means for thetransport of the electrical power tool. Neveruse the protective devices for handling andtransporting the device.Make sure that the upper part of the saw bladeis covered; e.g. by the protective device.Warning! During operation this electricalpower tool produces an electromagnetic fieldwhich can influence active or passive medicalimplants under certain conditions. In order toavoid the risk of serious or fatal injuries, werecommend persons with medical implants toconsult with their doctor and the manufacturerof the medical implant before operating theelectrical power tool.■ SAFETY INFORMATION FOR HANDLING SAW BLADES• Operate insertion tools only when you knowhow to handle them correctly.• Always consider the maximum speed. Themaximum speed indicated on the power toolmay not be exceeded. Observe the speedrange (if specified).• Do not use insertion tools with cracks.Immediately take ruptured insertion toolsout of service; simply repairing them is notadmissible.• Clean the clamping surfaces of dirt, fat, oiland water.• Always handle insertion tools with care. Ifpossible, keep them in their original packingor in a special container. Wear protectivegloves in order to improve your grip and toreduce the risk of personal injuries.• Before operating the insertion tool, ensurethat all protective devices are attachedproperly.• Before operation also make sure that theinsertion tool you intend to use meets thetechnical requirements for electrical powertools.• Use the provided saw blade only for cuttingwood and never for cutting metals.Intended use mGBThis electrical power tool meets the ECMachinery Directive.• This power tool is defined as a portableelectrical power tool.• In order to transport/ reorganize the powertool, place one hand at the front andone hand at the end of the saw table andlift the power tool.• If you do not use the provided frame, youhave to fasten the power tool to a stableworkbench.• The operator of the device should alwaysstand in front of the power tool, at the leftside of the saw blade.• The working and surrounding area of thepower tool have to be free from foreignbodies in order to prevent accidents.• It is important to keep the work piecesto be machined free from foreign bodiessuch as nails and screws.• Before commissioning, the power tool hasto be connected to an exhaust systemwith a flexible exhaust line of low flammability. The exhaust system switcheson automatically when the power tool isturned on.• When the electrical power tool is operatedin enclosed rooms it has to beconnected to an exhaust system. In orderto remove fragments and sawdust, usea 3200 ha or 2600 ha dust removal. Theflow velocity of the suction strainer has tobe 20 m/s.• The automatic switch-on can be obtainedas an optional accessory. Type ALV 2:Order no. 7910 4010, 230–240 V/50 Hz• When turning on the power tool, theexhaust system turns on after a start-updelay of about 2-3 seconds. Thus, themachine helps avoiding the overload ofyour main’s fuse. .• When turning off the power tool, theexhaust system switches off automaticallyafter 3-4 seconds.• Thereby, the residual dust is sucked off,as required by the Ordinance on HazardousSubstances which saves powerand reduces the noise level. The exhaustsystem runs only when the power tool isturned on.• Do not turn on and remove the exhaustsystem or the dust remover when youoperate the power tool.• This electrical power tool is constructedfor processing wood and wood-imitatingmaterials only. Only original tools andaccessories may be used. Insert therequired saw blade (according to normEN 847-1) depending on the cutting andwood type (solid wood, plywood or chipboards).Follow the accessory instructionsin this manual.• The power tool may only be used intechnically perfect condition. Be sure tooperate the power tool according to itsintended use and observe the operatinginstructions as well as all safety and riskinformation for the power tool at all times.Any cause of disorder, especially whenaffecting safety, operation should beimmediately interrupted.• The safety, working and maintenance requirementsof the manufacturer as well asthe dimensions specified in the technicaldata have to be complied with at all times.• Observe all relevant accident preventionregulations as well as other generallyrecognized safety regulations.• The electrical power tool may only beoperated, maintained or repaired bypersons who are familiar with the equipmentand have been informed about thepossible dangers. Unauthorized modificationsto the electrical power tool void theliability of the manufacturer for damagesresulting from this.• The power tool may only be operated withthe original manufacturer’s accessoriesand original tools..• The manufacturer does not accept anyresponsibility for damage resulting fromimproper use; therefore the operatorhimself carries the full risk.Residual risks mThe electrical power tool is constructed accordingto state of the art technology and recognizedsafety rules and regulations. However, residual risks might still arise during operation.• When handling the work piece incorrectly, the rotating saw blade might cause a risk ofinjury for your hands and fingers.• When holding or guiding the work pieceincorrectly (e.g. when working without thelimit stop), flying work pieces can increasethe risk of injury.• Exposure to noise might increase yourhealth risk. During operation, the admissiblenoise level is exceeded. Thus, wearpersonal protective equipment such as ear16
