when you are clutching tears like secrets close to<br />
your chest, not letting a drop fall in case it shatters<br />
your world. „to speak or to die“ - we keep the phrase<br />
engraved in our veins, yet speaking in poetry becomes<br />
difficult when you have died a hundred deaths inside.<br />
poetry becomes difficult when you are mining for<br />
beauty amongst heaps of pain. and if you are lucky,<br />
you will scribble something down and forget about<br />
it for a few months. poetry becomes difficult when<br />
reality shakes you to your core. poetry is pretty until<br />
it is not. not only does it become difficult, it becomes<br />
poisonous. poetry becomes difficult when you use all<br />
your words to scream that you cannot breathe anymore.<br />
