The creation of new conservation units and the effective implementation of
those already in existence have been the main focus of the biodiversity
preservation policy carried out by the State Institute of Environment (Inea),
through its Biodiversity and Protected Areas Board (Dibap). This entire
endeavor aims, among other objectives, to share the unique experience of
visiting and exploring the state's protected areas.
Wonderful natural resources are found in our conservation units. The
guidebook series “State Park Trails” offers the public a way to discover and
explore these areas. To start the series, we chose the “Desengano State Park
Trails” guidebook, since this is the oldest, and yet the least known of our parks.
This publication is an invitation for you to visit the park and its trails. When you
arrive, besides enjoying all these natural resources, you will discover the
importance of preserving this wonderful environmental heritage.
