ABSTRACT<br />
The peripheral ossifying fibroma is injury bone-fibrous<br />
benign, with insert etiology, usually correlate trauma, beliving<br />
many actors that is odontogenic with origin at periodonthol<br />
ligament. More frequent in gingiva of white woman among<br />
the 3 a and 4 a decades of live. This paper aimed to do a review<br />
of literature and report a clinical case of peripheral ossifying<br />
fibroma in a white patient, man, 55 years old, with history of<br />
removed resembling lesion at same place there was five years<br />
old, returned there was one years, locked node in foyer<br />
gingiva vestibular at teeth 11, approximate 0,8 cm. diameter,<br />
rose, clear, fibrosis, plane, brilliance and mucous adjacent<br />
integrate. Tangent Radiography report bone reabsorb son<br />
lesion. The clinical diagnosis has lesion peripheral of giant<br />
cells. It was made excisional biopsy whose histopathologic<br />
exam allowed peripheral ossifying fibroma. The follow-up of<br />
2 years, having not recurrence signals.<br />
UNITERMS: fibroma; ossifying fibroma; giant cell<br />
granuloma.<br />
