Numa vila rural no sul da Suécia anoitece e, a caminho
de casa, um barulho inesperado deixa alguém desconfortável.
Será o cão do vizinho ou um lobo? No escuro
é fácil confundir o amigável com o potencialmente
perigoso. O som provoca a dúvida e as imagens criam
uma atmosfera enigmática que fala, mas não se explica.
In a rural village in southern Sweden night falls and on
the way home, an unexpected noise makes someone
uncomfortable. Is it the neighbour’s dog or a wolf? In
the middle of the dark it is easy to confuse friendly
things with potentially dangerous ones. The sound
induces doubt and enigmatic images create an atmosphere
that speaks, but does not explain itself.

John Skoog
(1985) Sent på Jorden é o primeiro filme de John Skoog, embora
tenha começado a fazer cinema experimental, fotografia e instalações
ainda na adolescência. Estudou artes plásticas na Staatliche
Hochschule für bildende Kunst, em Frankfurt.
(1985) Late on Earth is John Skoog’s debut film, although he started
as a teenager making experimental film, photography and film installations.
He studied fine arts at Staatliche Hochschule für bildende
Kunst, in Frankfurt.

Ao fundo uma imagem de Tóquio atravessa quatro
painéis. Lado a lado as quatro estações do ano a passarem
pela capital japonesa. De um lado para o outro
as pessoas e os objectos a passarem da Primavera ao
Inverno. Um filme para os olhos se perderem. Uma
pequena animação carregada de poesia.
In the background an image of Tokyo is divided into
four pannels. Side by side, the four seasons of the year
permeate the Japanese capital. From one side to the
other, people and objects travel from Spring to Winter.
A film for the spectator’s eyes to wander and get
lost. A small animation charged with poetry.

Gaku Kinoshita
(1977, Tóquio, Japão) Completou o Mestrado em Animação na Royal
College of Art e trabalhou com a produtora londrina Passion Pictures.
Em 2008 regressou a Tóquio como realizador independente.
(1977, Tokyo, Japan) After completion of the MA Animation at Royal
College of Art, he worked with a London based animation production
company Passion Pictures. In 2008 he came back to Tokyo as
a freelance filmmaker.
