FENNEL ShORE
A planta funcho é frequentemente utilizada em
pequenas quantidades na cozinha mediterrânica
como aromatizante. devido ao seu exotismo, serviu
de inspiração para dar nome ao grupo “Fennel
shore”. Pretende-se quebrar com os clichés estilísticos
e para isso, inspirarmo-nos nas mais diferentes
linguagens, conhecimentos, vivências e influências
musicais de cada músico que compõem este projeto.
Assim, ao longo do concerto tentamos apelar a
uma viagem sonora através dos cinco sentidos.

“UMA NOITE AO SOM DO BOLERO”
MARIAchI MéXIcO MADEIRA
o bolero é uma canção urbana, das cidades
portuárias, que mistura raízes espanholas com
influências locais de vários países hispano-americanos,
conhecida como a canção romântica mexicana.
Apesar de ter nascido em Cuba, muitos historiadores
defendem que o bolero nasceu na europa, e foi
levado para a América, pelas tripulações que faziam
as travessias rumo ao Atlântico sul. Para este projeto
os Mariachi México Madeira prepararam um
repertorio especifico baseado nos principais sucessos
deste género musical, interpretando temas de
compositores cubanos, mexicanos e venezuelanos.

“FENNEL SHORE”
Fennel is often used in small quantities in the mediterranean
cuisine as a flavoring plant, due to its exoticism,
it was an inspiration to name the “Fennel shore” group!
We intend to break the stylistic clichés and to do so,
we inspire ourselves in the most different languages,
knowledge, experiences and musical influences of each
musician that make up this project. so, throughout the
concert we try to appeal to a sound journey through the
five senses.

bolero is an urban song from port cities that mixes
spanish roots with local influences from various hispanic
american countries, known as the Mexican romantic
song. despite being born in Cuba, many historians argue
that the bolero was born in europe and was taken to
america by the crews crossingthe south atlantic. For this
project Mariachi México Madeira prepareda specific repertoire
based on the main successes of this musical genre,
interpreting themes of cuban, mexican and venezuelan
composers.

sinopse: um grupo de Atores de rua chega à
Madeira na atualidade. no curso narrativo da peça
percebe-se que não vieram por acaso e que procuram
o portal que os levará a casa - a Atlântida.
viajam no tempo com a ajuda do livro branco de
salomé e confrontam-se com diversas personagens
e lendas que os orientam no caminho...
lendas abordadas: lenda da Atlântida, lenda
da descoberta da Madeira, lenda da Capela das
Almas Pobres, lenda da srª do Monte, História dos
Corcundas, lenda do Cabo girão, lenda do tesouro
da Furneira, lenda da velha da levada, lenda dos
Huguenotes, lenda da espada de d. sebastião,
lenda de Arguim, lenda do Cavalum, lenda dos
Profetas, lenda do tesouro do Capitão Kid e lenda
de Machim.

synopsis: a group of street actors arrives in Madeira
nowadays. in the narrative sequence of the play, one
realizes that it did not happen by chance and they search
for the portal that will take them home - atlantis. they
travel in time with the help of the white book of salome
and they are confronted with diverse characters and legends
that guide them on the way ...
legends: legend of atlantis, legend of the discovery
of Madeira, legend of the Chapel of the Poor souls,
legend of the lady of the Monte, history of the
humpbacks, legend of the Cape girão, legend of
the treasure of the Furneira, legend of the old lady
of levada, legend of the huguenots , legend of the
sword of d. sebastião, legend of arguim, legend of the
Cavalum, legend of the Prophets, treasure legend of
Captain Kid and legend of Machim.
