abstRaCt. The implementation of the strategic
management of people in contemporary organizations
is a competitive differentiator, as it values the
intellectual capital, thereby increasing efficiency
and effectiveness of the organization. This system
underwent a significant expansion and diversification
in recent decades. This article is a reflective and
analytical study on the strategic management
and key competences, which is characterized by
addressing issues related to: globalization and
capitalism; education with responsibility in pursuit
of a free society; principle-based leadership and
valuing emotional intelligence; strategic management
of human resources competencies; and strategic
aspirations in organizations. Noted that the training
and development of professional training, adopted by
the organizations, contributed to the improvement of
staff with the organizational alignment. Finally, the HR
activities were integrated into the company’s model
of competencies and competency management can
provide the HR strategic dimension.
