På museets varv har den bäst bevarade båten, benämnd nr
X, kunnat rekonstrueras under ledning av varvschefen
Axel Lindberg med hjälp av Ola Ericsson. Utifrån vunna
erfarenheter har de därefter byggt en kopia i samma teknik
som använts under medeltiden alltifrån spräckning till
bilning av väldiga ekstockar, hämtade från Visingsö, och
med hjälp av nygjorda verktyg av medeltida typ. Resultatet
har blivit över all förväntan och båtens sjöduglighet

C The boat in the best conditian, known as no. X, has
been reconstructed on the wharf area of the museum by
trained boat-builders. From their accumulated experience
they have gone on to build areplica, using the same
techniques as in the Middle Ages and replica medieval
toois. The result has been far beyond all expectations and
all aspects of the seaworthiness of the boat are now being
tested.
