Abstract
The Wonderfully Absurd Temple website which was founded in 1997
by Yao da-juin and Tsao jer-lian is the representation of Chinese digital
poems, and its new ideas and representative have been praised by digital
literature critics. The author is going to explain Yao da-juin and Tsao
jer-lian’s conceptions of creations in this thesis and finds out that there are
something different between Yao da-juin and Tsao jer-lian’s creations.
Yao da-juin’s creations tilt toward the inheritance of Dadaism’s
destructiveness, and Tsao jer-lian’s creations, however, belong to
postmodern digital internet poetry, and they show the importance of
‘significance’ and ‘communication’, so that the characteristics that can also
be taken as the inheritance of traditional literature. Therefore, these two
poets have different styles in creating digital poems as the names of “Hsian
gourd” and “HyPersimmon”. The author uses three aspects ” The physical
development of Chinese words”, “The display of simple signs” and “The
meta-language’s summons to the readers” to summarize and comprehend.
About Tsao jer-lian’s poems, the author takes “Literary MTV”, “The
physical aspect of taking advantage of Chinese characters” and “Implanting
the meta-language” as descriptions to explain Tsao jer-lian’s poems, and we
can also find that how do Yao da-juin and Tsao jer-lian concretely show the
same parts and different parts of their conceptions of creations in digital
internet poetry.
