Bringing love, labor and selfsacrifice to his work, Dolce Vita inspire from carpet love. The brand that breaks molds on the carpet, responds to customer expectations from design to measure, saying ‘Your Size, Your Style’. The brand which is experiencing the enthusiasm of Dolce Vita Premium stores, has just started to open in shopping malls, is protecting its dynamism with innovations. Chairman Metin Taskiran informed that they aimed to open 50 premium stores in Turkey. First of all, what is your firm’s foundation and how did your brand adventure begin? As Taskiran family, our carpet history back 35 years ago. After doing wholesale of various national brands up to today, we brought the Dolce Vita brand to Turkey as of 2009 and got the brand patent in 37 countries as well. Can you tell us about the carpet product groups in your brand portfolio? We offer handcrafted handicrafts produced in different countries of the world in our collection, hand made weaving carpets produced in Turkey, natural bamboo and viscon special bench machine carpets, personalized designs and sizes of machine carpets and decorative products are available. Design is the element which differs most in carpet. What kind of process is being done on the creative side of the business? Where do you get inspiration for the design? Our design team always follows new trends and keeps the pulse of fashion. Because the carpet is an object which needs to be matched to its surroundings, the natural stones, natural wood tables and furniture which stand out in the new trend home decor, and the current colors in the furniture are followed up in our design offices. We apply the colors which appear in the foreground on the armchair and furniture as soon as possible. How do you define Turkey’s design line as a brand which gives importance to design? Turkey is leading the way in the world, especially countries such as Italy and France, which are the brands of design in carpet, with the information experience coming from exporting in carpet design. As Dolce Vita carpet, the design character of our brand is more appealing to young people and has modern lines. We take our power from many other brands designers who cheat our designs in the sector. We know you’re active in the local market. So far, how many points has Turkey’s Dolce Vita brand has reached? We currently have over 250 domestic sales points.
