“Underwater Paradise Antalya”<br />

gained reward from Europe<br />

The underwater screening director and<br />

documentary filmmaker Tahsin Ceyhan's<br />

documentary ''Underwater Paradise Antalya''<br />

has received a championship prize<br />

in the professional category at the Paf<br />

Tachov Film Festival in Czech Republic.<br />

The film, which prepared in Turkish,<br />

English, German and Russian, covers the<br />

underwater cultural assets and rich sea<br />

life of the 640 km long coast of Antalya.<br />

Also, Antalya Governor Münir Karaloğlu's<br />

images of diving are given in film. In<br />

addition to many endangered species such<br />

as Mediterranean seal, grouper and white<br />

grouper, ruins and antiquities that contributed<br />

to the underwater life take place<br />

in the movie. The film won the first prize<br />

in the professional category at the Paf<br />

Tachov Film Festival that has been held in<br />

the Czech Republic for 41 years.<br />

AN IMPORTANT CENTER<br />

IN DIVING TOURISM<br />

Governor Münir Karaloğlu, said in a statement<br />

on the subject that 650 kilometers of<br />

underwater beauties should be known and<br />

they should contribute to the promotion of<br />

the city. Noting that Antalya has become<br />

one of the most important centers of the<br />

world in diving tourism, Karaloğlu said;<br />

''Antalya is one of the most well-known<br />

underwater diving destinations after the<br />

Red Sea. Together with Kemer, Kaş, Kalkan,<br />

and Alanya, Antalya has become one of the<br />

important areas of alternative tourism.<br />

This was the purpose of our book and<br />

introduction film. We are happy to see the<br />

film won a first prize at a festival.”<br />

Direct flights to 13 countries<br />

from Antalya<br />

continued as follows: “As Turkish Airlines,<br />

we will have 41 direct flights per week<br />

from Antalya to 13 international destinations.<br />

We are continuing our negotiations<br />

to extend our flights to Azerbaijan,<br />

Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. Antalya has<br />

a structure that attracted tourists from<br />

Western Europe. We think that high-yielding<br />

tourists from the Gulf countries and<br />

the Middle East may come to Antalya.”<br />

Turkish Airlines (THY) will organize 41<br />

direct flights per week from tourism<br />

capital Antalya to 13 countries. These<br />

flights will continue in winter. THY Vice<br />

General Manager of Marketing and Sales,<br />

Ahmet Olmuştur said in his statement on<br />

the subject that Antalya is a city above the<br />

world standards in terms of infrastructure<br />

and service quality.<br />

Olmuştur, who said that they have added<br />

new points to existing direct destinations,<br />
