Antalya the Region of Tourism
“Underwater Paradise Antalya”
gained reward from Europe
The underwater screening director and
documentary filmmaker Tahsin Ceyhan's
documentary ''Underwater Paradise Antalya''
has received a championship prize
in the professional category at the Paf
Tachov Film Festival in Czech Republic.
The film, which prepared in Turkish,
English, German and Russian, covers the
underwater cultural assets and rich sea
life of the 640 km long coast of Antalya.
Also, Antalya Governor Münir Karaloğlu's
images of diving are given in film. In
addition to many endangered species such
as Mediterranean seal, grouper and white
grouper, ruins and antiquities that contributed
to the underwater life take place
in the movie. The film won the first prize
in the professional category at the Paf
Tachov Film Festival that has been held in
the Czech Republic for 41 years.
AN IMPORTANT CENTER
IN DIVING TOURISM
Governor Münir Karaloğlu, said in a statement
on the subject that 650 kilometers of
underwater beauties should be known and
they should contribute to the promotion of
the city. Noting that Antalya has become
one of the most important centers of the
world in diving tourism, Karaloğlu said;
''Antalya is one of the most well-known
underwater diving destinations after the
Red Sea. Together with Kemer, Kaş, Kalkan,
and Alanya, Antalya has become one of the
important areas of alternative tourism.
This was the purpose of our book and
introduction film. We are happy to see the
film won a first prize at a festival.”
Direct flights to 13 countries
from Antalya
continued as follows: “As Turkish Airlines,
we will have 41 direct flights per week
from Antalya to 13 international destinations.
We are continuing our negotiations
to extend our flights to Azerbaijan,
Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. Antalya has
a structure that attracted tourists from
Western Europe. We think that high-yielding
tourists from the Gulf countries and
the Middle East may come to Antalya.”
Turkish Airlines (THY) will organize 41
direct flights per week from tourism
capital Antalya to 13 countries. These
flights will continue in winter. THY Vice
General Manager of Marketing and Sales,
Ahmet Olmuştur said in his statement on
the subject that Antalya is a city above the
world standards in terms of infrastructure
and service quality.
Olmuştur, who said that they have added
new points to existing direct destinations,
