PANORAMA

KONFEKSİYON TEKNİK

MAYIS | MAY | 2020

mecburi hale getirdi. Avusturya 8,5

milyonluk az nüfusa sahip olduğu için

Avrupa‘da maske kanununu getirebilme

lüksü olan tek Avrupa ülkesidir.

En azından şimdilik. İtalya genelinde

de maske mecburidir. Italya için geç

kalındığı bildirildi ama bizim için geç

değil. Bu konu Almanya’da Nisan

başında gündeme geldi. Robert Koch

enstitüsü ve Almanya Pandemi Yönetim

Kurulu Başkanı Prof. Dr. Lothar H.

Wieler „20 Nisana kadar Almanya‘da

pandeminin önüne geçilemezse maske

zorunluluğunu getirebiliriz“ dedi.

Almanya‘dan takip ettiğim kadarıyla

da Tükiye‘de de maske zorunluluğu

Covid 19 tedbirleri içerisinde ve bazı

bölgelerde uygulamaya geçti.“

WHO (Dünya Sağlık Örgütü) maske

kullanımının gerekli olduğunu

belirttiği halde neden ülkeler maske

zorunluluğu getirmiyor?

„Dünya sağlık örgütünün ve Rober

Koch enstitüsü „Basit ağız maskesi

kullanıldığında bile hasta insanların

başka insanları hasta etme oranında

risk azalmış olur“ dediği halde neden

ülkeler maske takma zorunludur

demiyor? Çünkü ağız maskelerinin

hammaddesi olan tekstillerde, özellikle

nonwovenda üretim kapasitesi

şu anda yetmiyor ve bu maskeler

damlacık enfeksiyonunda uzun süre

kullanıma uygun değiller. Ülkeler

birbirlerinin elinden maske çalıyorlar,

bunları da maalesef gördük. Öksürük

barikatı için bile ne hammadde, ne

dikimhane, ne de konfeksiyon kapasitesi

olan ülkeler var. Türkiye tekstil

sektöründe Avrupa ve Amerika‘ya

nazaran daha güçlü ve biz her kişiye

maske üretebilecek kapasitedeyiz. Biz

tekstil üretiminde ve konfeksiyonda

kapasitesi çok geniş bir ülkeyiz. Fakat

en büyük kapasite İstanbul ve çevresindedir

ve orada üretimin aksamadan

uzun süre devam edip edemeyeceğini

bilemiyoruz. Tekstil sektöründeki

Anadolu’nun dev holdingleriyle hem

knowhow, hem de teknolojimizi pandemi

savaşına odaklanmış durumdayız.

Tekstil sektörü Türkiye‘de pandemi

ile verilen bu savaşta üzerine düşen

görevi hayliyle yerine getirecektir.“

our hands and take it to our mouth and eye). As you may

remember, the first measure was to stop shaking hands

and cuddling. It is possible to produce alternative filter

textiles that have the ability to filter these particles and will

reach a long usage time. The mouth masks produced from

nonwovens and woven fabrics, which are currently widely

used, have a lifespan of 2 to 4 hours. When it is worn for

longer than its lifetime, it prolongs the virus to remain active

on the filter for a long time and the infectious period rather

than protecting the human. Unfortunately, these filters are

very few, they are becoming expensive and increasingly

difficult to find, at least because they need to be renewed

every day. That’s why we know the importance of this work

and work with all our strength.”

Why have people not used masks so far to prevent a

respiratory infected pandemic and why are not using?

Since the beginning of the corona virus, facial masks

have been mandatory in many parts of China. Many

other countries follow this idea. For example, Austria has

now made face masks legally mandatory. Austria is the

only European country with the luxury of introducing the

mask law in Europe, as it has a population of 8.5 million. It

is at least for now. A mask is mandatory throughout Italy.

It is reported to be late for Italy, but it is not late for us. This

issue came up in Germany in early April. Prof. Dr. Lothar

H. Wieyer, the chairman of Robert Koch institute and

German Pandemic Board, said “If the pandemic cannot

be prevented in Germany until 20 April,, we can bring

the necessity of a mask”. As far as I follow from Germany,

the necessity of a mask in Turkey has been implemented

within Covid-19 measures and in some regions.”

WHO (World Health Organization) stated that the use

of a mask is necessary, but why don’t the countries

require a mask?

Why do the countries not say that wearing a mask is

mandatory even though the World Health Organization

and the Robert Koch Institute said “Even a simple mouth

mask is used, the risk of the rate that the sick people

makes other people sick is reduced”? Because the

production capacity of textile, which is the raw material

of mouth masks, especially nonwovens, is currently not

sufficient and these masks are not suitable for a long

time in droplet infection. Countries are stealing masks

from each others, unfortunately we have seen them.

There are countries that have neither raw materials nor

sewing facilities nor ready-to-wear clothing even for

cough barricades. Turkey is more powerful in the textile

industry than in Europe and America, and we have

the capacity to produce mask for everyone. We are a

country with a very large capacity in textile production

and apparel. But the biggest capacity is in Istanbul and

its surroundings, and we do not know whether production

can continue for a long time without disruption. With

the giant holdings of the textile industry in Anatolia, we

are focused on both knowhow and technology in pandemic

warfare. The textile sector will fulfill its duty in the

fight against pandemic in Turkey.”
