Out of all democratic principles
and against, at least, the elementary
ethics, the Macedonian political
practice, in the last ten days established
here (but also worldwide) the
already acquired belief for – lets put
it politely – the more than humble
capacities of our political factors.
Not a trend, but a state perfectly immanent
of the present political circumstances!
Namely, the candidature
of Srgan Kerim for a future President
of the Republic of Macedonia, as a
non-party, mutual candidate of SDSM
and DPMNE, turned into a simple
masquerade motivated by political
calculations and speculations of the
few interest groups which rule with
our social milieu.
Although the epicenter of this
discrediting was Srgan Kerim himself,
the person in which many people in
Macedonia saw the almost certain
new (forth) president of the country,
and no matter how paradoxical
it may sound, Kerim is not the only
and even less he is the most serious
victim of this synchronized spun, political
manipulation of the public and
the citizens. Thus, we can conclude:
Srgan Kerim may be offended (rightly
so) by the vulgar and unscrupulous
abuse of his name, but in no case is
he the loser in this new Macedonian
political episode. His professional
background and his political skills,
objectively considered, will remain
to be (entirely) out of reach for the
most party chiefs and chiefs to be,
who parade on our Macedonian political
scene on longer or shorter tracks.
But, the real loss, without doubt, is
the institution President, and if you
like, even the political system with
all the democratic standards (!?) on

D-r Kerim is not
the only and even
less he is the most
serious victim of this synchronized
spun, political
manipulation of the public
and the citizens. He is offended
(rightly so) by the
vulgar and unscrupulous
abuse of his name, but in
no case is he the loser in
this new Macedonian political
episode. – The main

emerged out of nowhere,
is the professor Gorge
Ivanov, who is a former
non-realized SDSM activist,
and by the way, the last
vice-president of the Macedonian
youth communist
organization!?
which, at least by what we have been
persuaded to, it lies.
Normally, this example of political
instrumentalization for the purpose
of the system and social auto-
destruction is not our first one, and
unfortunately, as it may be, it is
not the last one as well. In the past
years, there was little we were not
witnesses of! Macedonian showed to
the world, long ago, that our leaders
have some strange Godlike (or
immortal) world views with no limits
in their own accomplishments.
And that in achieving such goals,
the questions of price and victim
are not valid. The creators of such
situations, although confident in
the humble mental performances of
the public, make a major oversight
in that direction. Is it possible that
anyone with common sense can swallow
the “good-hearted” idea by SDSM
for establishing national unity via
the hoaxing of the “cuckoo egg” for a
non-party candidate. Since when in a
democratic society, the national unity
(in a multiethnic country) is build
exclusively on a common presidential
candidate whose nomination is
hoaxed as an introduction to a subtle
political confrontation, or as an alibi
for the political chiefs to eliminate a
candidate for whom they are political
amateurs!? Or, how is it possible
that the nebulous claim made by
DPMNE for a personnel crises in SDSM
( as a reply to the initiative) can be
grasped by everyone with common
sense, knowing that the main favorite
of DPMNE who emerged out of nowhere,
the professor Gorge Ivanov, is
a former non-realized SDSM activist,
and by the way, the last vice-president
of the Macedonian youth communist
organization!?
This kind of new derogation of
the presidential function and institution
will certainly not get by without
any repercussions both on internal
and external field. Speaking in the
name of the truth, we can not praise
ourselves with many positive experiences
when this institution is in
question. The political manipulation
culmination in a kind of exhibitionistic
practice can not bring about any
stability and even less sympathies
and support by our friends in the
international community. It went so
far that the presidential elections to
come gained a new and assessing it
for its stupidity, the unprecedented
coin of electing “the Macedonian
Obama”, of course, with direct highlighting
of the personality and the
work of the former leftist and now
exalt rightist Gorge Ivanov. May God
be on our side…
