< 예술의 극치 >
우리 나라의 옛 건축물에는 여러가지 색깔의 그림 무늬가 그려져 있는데 이것을 ‘단청’이라고 부
른다. 우리 조상들은 단청에서 기둥을 비롯한 아래부분을 붉은색을 많이 쓰고 두공과 대들보 등
윗부분에는 푸른색을 많이 쓰는 ‘상록 하단’의 원칙을 지켜왔다. 이때부터 ‘단청’이라는 말이 이
로부터 유래되었다고 한다. 단청에 나타나는 연꽃 문양을 통해서 한국의 미적 아름다움을 보여
주고, 미의 극치를 작품에 담아 제작하였다.
< the highest reach of art >
Dancheong refers to decorative designs that can be found on the surfaces of old Korean buildings.
Some hypothesize that ‘dancheong’ originated from the principle named 常 綠 下 段 , using color red
for the bottom parts and color blue for the upper parts of building, which has been practiced for a
long time by Korean people. This work attempts to capture the Korean aesthetic beauty through the
lotus print that often appears in dancheong designs.

< 프레임을 리프레임하다. >
프레임은 세상을 바라보는 틀(관점, 가치관)이다. 옷에 대한 프레임은 시간의 흐름에 따라 바뀌
었고, 인간과 옷과 사회의 교감의 의미로 패션을 바라보면서 세상을 바라보는 마음의 창을 반
영한 옷을 만들기 시작했다. 그래서 이제 나에게 옷은 그동안 나의 착각과 오류, 오만과 편견,
실수와 오해가 프레임에 의해 생겨남을 증명하고, 그것에서 벗어나는 방법을 제시하고자 한다.
< Reframe the frame >
The frame is a perspective and points of view the way we look at the world. The frame on clothing
has changed over time. Considering the fashion as an interaction among human, clothing and society,
we start to make clothing which reflect the window of mind gazing at the world. For that reason,
I would like to prove that my mistake and error, arrogance and prejudice, confusion and misunderstanding
about the clothing result from the frame and present the way to escape from there.
