Paradigma <strong>for</strong> modelrapportering (gw.96.04) blev lanceret med henblik på en opdatering <strong>af</strong> et paradigma fra<br />
november 1975, som ikke ansås tidssvarende længere på grund <strong>af</strong> ændringer i modelleringsteknik, og hyppigheden<br />
<strong>af</strong> problemer som konstateredes ved review <strong>af</strong> modelrapporter, således at en <strong>for</strong>nyet gennemgang<br />
<strong>af</strong> politik på området var <strong>for</strong>målstjenligt. Paradigmaet fra USGS anbefalede 10 punkter som skulle være indeholdt<br />
i en modelrapport og beskrives:<br />
1. <strong>for</strong>målet med undersøgelsen og den rolle simuleringerne spiller med hensyn hertil<br />
2. det hydrologiske system som undersøges<br />
3. matematiske metoder der benyttes og deres egnethed i <strong>for</strong>hold til problemet der løses<br />
4. anvendte randbetingelsers hydrologiske karakter<br />
5. retfærdiggør det diskretiserede netværk (finite differens eller finite element)<br />
6. grundvandsmagasinsystemet der modelleres<br />
7. påvirkninger <strong>af</strong> vandbalancen såsom oppumpning, evapotranspiration, grundvandsdannelse, vandstandsændringer<br />
i vandløb, lækage fra øvrige grundvandsmagasiner og kildestyrke (ved stoftransportmodeller)<br />
8. startværdier som benyttes i simuleringen (transiente simuleringer)<br />
9. kalibreringskriterierne, proceduren <strong>for</strong> kalibreringen samt resultaterne<br />
10. begrænsninger <strong>af</strong> modellens repræsentativitet <strong>for</strong> det aktuelle system og betydningen på resultaterne og<br />
konklusionerne præsenteret i rapporten<br />
