Höhenstraße machen, eine Runde auf dem Golfplatz spielen, auf den Hütten<br />
heiraten, mountainbiken und vieles mehr.<br />

The first highlight when I enter the <strong>Zillertal</strong> is the skiing area of Hochzillertal<br />
and Hochfügen. Especially because of the powder slopes and the long Stephan-<br />
Eberharter-slope that goes down into the valley! Kristallhütte, Wedelhütte and<br />
Alexander Fankhauser’s 3-toque restaurant in Hochfügen are places you definitely<br />
have to go to. Further into the valley you can take the gondola from Zell<br />
up to Gerlosplatte where you’ll find great slopes and panoramic views. Back<br />
down in the valley a tobogganing ride is a must! In Mayrhofen I like to carve<br />
down 3-4 great slopes on Ahorn right in the morning, then I go to Penken – a<br />
huge area with great slopes for everyone!<br />
Right by the cableway 150 there are awesome slopes for freeriders and there’s<br />
the Vans Penken Park for freestylers that’s just great. In addition to that there<br />
are plenty of possibilities to take a break and the <strong>Zillertal</strong>’s most beautiful<br />
view: the view from Penken to where the side valleys split up, like the five<br />
fingers of a hand. Another highlight: the Hintertux glacier! In February and<br />
March you can experience sensational rides there. My tip: the wider slopes<br />
further up for carving and the new slope “Schwarze Pfanne” that leads directly<br />
into town. And generally speaking: is there anything better than skiing<br />
down an illuminated slope that leads right into town?<br />
My summer<br />
In summer <strong>Zillertal</strong> is an attractive and active region, it simply offers everything<br />
from the golf course to the summer skiing area on the glacier. The side<br />
valleys Gerlostal, Zillergrund, Stilluptal, Zemmgrund and Tuxer Tal each<br />
with its respective side valleys are an amazing hiking area with lots of huts<br />
and idyllic lakes. When you enter Zillergrund and hike on for another 2.5<br />
hours, you get to the border of Southern Tyrol! There are many summer cableways<br />
to assist you on your way up, up to the Hintertux glacier, for example. At<br />
3.250 m the view into the distance, all the way to Großglockner and Stubaier,<br />
Pitztaler and Ötztaler Alps is incredible! More to-dos: go and see Schürzenjäger<br />
Open Air, ride around <strong>Zillertal</strong>er Höhenstraße, play a round of golf on the<br />
new course, get married in one of the huts, mountainbike and much more.<br />
