Die besten jungen Fachkräfte – im Bild junge Chemnitzer – aus über 60 Nationen sind bei den WorldSkills 2013 in Leipzig zusammenkommen. In 46 Berufsdisziplinen stelltensie ihr Können unter Beweis und boten Besuchern spannende Einblicke in ihre Fachgebiete. Wenn sich so viele junge Fachkräfte, Besucher und Vertreter von Unternehmenin der Messestadt Leipzig tummeln, hat dies auch eine positive Wirkung auf den Wirtschafts- und Tourismusstandort Sachsen.The best young specialist workers - the picture shows young workers from Chemnitz - from over 60 countries came together at WorldSkills 2013 in Leipzig. Neben fünf Uni -versitäten, fünf Fachhochschulen und 55 grundfinanzierten Großforschungseinrichtungenbetreiben vor allem mehr als 40 gewerbliche Gesellschaften,gemeinnützige GmbHs oder eingetragene Vereine die direkte transfer- und vermarktungsorientierteForschung für die klein- und mittelständische Industriein Sachsen, Deutschland und Europa. Die unter strikten wirtschaftlichen undfachlichen Gesichtspunkten geführten Industrieforschungseinrichtungen sindauf Flexibilität und Schnelligkeit ausgerichtet und sprechen die Sprache derklein- und mittelständischen Industrie.„Innovationen sind der Schlüssel zum wirtschaftlichen Erfolg. Sie sichernbei Unternehmen Einnahmen und sorgen – auch volkswirtschaftlich – für Effizienzauf der Ausgabenseite“, ist Sabine von Schorlemer, Sächsische Staatsministerinfür Wissenschaft und Kunst, überzeugt. „Nur starke Unternehmenkönnen Erträge erwirtschaften, die der Staat benötigt, um für Wissenschaft,Bildung und sozialen Ausgleich zu sorgen.“Damit Sachsen, das zu den traditionellen Wirtschaftsstandorten in Deutschlandgehört, weiter florieren kann, brauchen die Unternehmen qualifizierteArbeitskräfte zur Sicherung ihres Fach- und Führungskräftebedarfs. Die Ge -winnung von Fachkräften für den sächsischen Arbeitsmarkt wird künftig nochmehr Anstrengung erfordern. Die Sächsische Staatsregierung hat deshalb eineFachkräftestrategie Sachsen 2020 erarbeitet. Teil der Strategie ist ein breiteröffentlicher Dialog. Das Sächsische Staatsministerium für Wirtschaft, Arbeit undVerkehr lädt deshalb regelmäßig zu Fachkräfteforen ein. Ziel der halbjährlichstattfindenden Fachkongresse ist der Austausch von Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft,Politik und Öffentlichkeit zu den verschiedenen Handlungsfeldern der sächsischenFachkräftepolitik.Wolfgang BaltzerSaxony is a land of researchSaxony is a land of research and education. In addition to the research conductedat five traditional universities, five universities of applied sciences and 55 largeresearch institutions which receive general funding from the state, especially importantis the research conducted by more than 40 commercial companies, charitablecompanies and registered associations which carry out direct transfer and marketingoriented research for the small and medium sized industries in Saxony, Germanyand Europe as a whole. The industrial research institutions are managedalong strict economic and industry-specific guidelines and are oriented towardsflexibility and speed. Most importantly they speak the language of small andmedium sized industry! Sabine von Schorlemer, the State Minister for Science andthe Arts, is convinced that “Innovations form the key to economic success. Theysecure revenue for companies and ensure that companies maintain efficiency -including from the perspective of the national economy - in terms of their expenditure.Only strong companies can earn the profits which the state needs in orderto be able to provide for science, education and social equality.” In order thatSaxony, which is one of the traditional industrial locations in Germany, can continueto flourish, companies need qualified workers so that they can continue tofulfill their requirements for specialist and managerial staff. In future even moreeffort will have to be put into securing specialist workers for the Saxon jobs market.The State Government has therefore developed a strategy entitled SpecialistWorkers for Saxony 2020. One part of this strategy is to engage in broad publicconsultation. The State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labor and Transport thereforeregularly sends out invitations for people to take part in forums for specialistworkers. The objective of the specialist conference, which takes place twice a year,is to exchange ideas on the economy, science, politics and public matters in relationto the various fields of activity of Saxon policy on specialist workers.WIR in SACHSEN 2013 67
