Wohin mit der Mikrounterkunft?
Wer ein Tiny House bauen will, muss sich neben
den ganzen Bauanforderungen auch der Frage des
Standortes stellen.
Where to locate with the micro home?
If you want to build a tiny house, in addition to all the
building requirements there is the question of location. A
converted wagon like this can't be placed just anywhere.
The Vins decided on a campsite with access to Surselva.
At the same time, despite their love of nature, they didn't
want to be without good infrastructure. "Even if our way
of life sounds quite alternative, we don't want to give up
comfort. We have a responsibility — to our child and to
society. That's the reason we're doing all this", sums up
this courageous mother.
EIN TREND IN XXS
Am Laaxersee tut sich was. Im April sind die Bagger aufgefahren. Ende des Jahres
wird vieles neu und anders sein.
Departing for new shores. Things are happening at Lake Laax. In April, the diggers got
to work. By the end of the year there will be several new and exciting changes.
The tiny house movement originated in America. It is the trend for small, mobile and affordable houses. Though
it originally arose through financial necessity, the trend gained popularity due to the increasing desire to
live sustainably. The tiny houses are mostly between 10 and 40 m2 in size and contain all the necessities
required for daily life. Since there are currently no clear legal definitions for this way of living, it occupies a
legal grey zone in Switzerland. Currently, there are no official figures, but the requests and lively exchanges
on the relevant forums show how much interest is already around for micro houses.
More information about the tiny house movement can be found on the Vins family's blog: www.ökilogisch.ch
Those who would rather not build a tiny house themselves can buy or rent a living/camping box directly from
the architects Bellevue Studio in Zurich. Their »micro-house” is manufactured in Trun and made exclusively
of wood from Surselva.
Lake Laax, Lag Grond ("Great Lake") in Romansh, is a centre and
playground, venue, educational institution and recreational park in
one. For both locals and visitors. Now it’s getting a whole new look.
It’s not really all that long ago that Laax was still a tranquil farming
village, with nature spreading all around Lake Laax. With the
development of Crap Sogn Gion by the local mountain railway pioneer
Walter Gurtner in the 1960s, the scenery around Lake Laax
also changed—albeit by no means to the extent and at the rate, for
example, of developments on the original Laax Murschetg meadow
land. And yet ever more buildings gathered around the Hotel Seehof,
which was built in 1880. Among these were public facilities such as
the school house with its swimming pool, which was built exactly 100
years later on the northern side of the lake.
In spite of this "settlement”, the community was able to retain a green
strip right around the lake. You had to reckon with fairly high monetary
investment even back then, such as for the small incline where
the children's ski lift stands today. Its owner at the time, a pastor,
received 1 million Francs.
