Kochsternstunden 2018 once again allowed the winners to shine
From 2nd February to 11th March, in 35 selected restaurants
in Dresden and the surrounding area, and also as part of the first
Kochsternstunden Leipzig SPEZIAL (Leipzig Great Cookery
Moments SPECIAL), diners were able to feast their way through the
competition. Enjoying delicious menus and experiencing culinary highlights
– these are the great cookery moments which no gourmet should
miss. This is where restaurant owners have the chance to show Dresden
and the area around the town the delicacies and the excellent service
that accompanies these that the numerous restaurants have to offer.
»A total of 4,114 menu reviews were submitted, 457 more than in
the previous year« reports Clemens Lutz who, together with Marlen
Buder of the NARCISS & TAURUS agency, originated the Kochsternstunden
ten years ago. This year 6,873 meals were enjoyed – that
is an average of around 197 meals per restaurant. This is also a significant
increase, since last year 6,407 meals were sold; an average of 187
menus tasted per restaurant. The glorious winners of the culinary contest
were Sebastian Probst and Matthias Schuh with their Dresden
