Publikumsmagnet.
Bestes Tauchklima und tolle Stimmung herrschten auch
im Dive Center und der gesamten Tauchhalle vom ersten
Tag an. Das freute auch den Direktor: »Für die Tauch-
Community ist die boot das Event des Jahres. Hier werden
Tauchreisen und -gänge geplant, Tauchpartner gefunden
und neuestes Equipment getestet.«
blue motion night
Fürst Albert II. erschien als Ehrengast zur Verleihung der
»ocean tribute« Awards und der blue motion night. Der
Preis wird an Projekte, die sich den Schutz der Meere auf
die Fahnen geschrieben haben, verliehen. Die diesjährigen
Gewinner sind die Malizia Ocean Challenge, Neptu Therm
und The Ocean Race.
boot 2020
Vom 18. bis 26. Januar 2020 läutet die boot das nächste
Jahrzehnt ein und wird im kommenden Dezember ihren
berühmten Schiffskran »Big Willi« feiern: Der stärkste
Messekollege wird 40 Jahre alt.
50 Years Sails, Anchors & Fins
On January 27, the 50th boot Düsseldorf came to an end. Good
business, excellent contacts to water sports fans and trade visitors
from all over the world characterized the fair.
Messe Düsseldorf CEO Werner Matthias Dornscheidt summarises
his impressions as follows: »I have experienced numerous
events here in Düsseldorf, but this boot was unique. A tremendous
atmo sphere in the halls, people in holiday mood at the stands and
highly satisfied exhibitors. Which means that we definitely reached
our goal: everyone will have outstanding memories of this marvellous
anniversary edition of boot.«
boot 2019 set a new record, with almost 2,000 exhibitors from
73 countries and displays covering 220,000 sqm of floor space.
Nearly 250,000 water sports fans came to Düsseldorf from over
100 countries, thus confirming the leading position of the water
sports trade fair in the world market.
The boot has no difficulty in being an event not just for B2B visitors
from the industry, but also for the presentation of trend sports
for the public.
There was a further increase in recreational diving and trend sport
exhibits at boot Düsseldorf and they proved to be reliable crowd
pullers. The diving conditions and atmosphere in the Dive Center
and the entire diving hall were excellent from the first day onwards
too. boot director Petros Michelidakis, »boot is the event of the year
for the diving community. This is where diving trips are planned,
diving partners are found and the latest equipment is tested.«
blue motion night
Prince Albert II was the guest of honour for the presentation of
the »ocean tribute« awards and the blue motion night. The prize
is awarded to projects that are committed to protecting the oceans.
This year’s winners are Malizia Ocean Challenge, Neptu Therm
and The Ocean Race.
The boot will start its next decade from January 18 to 26, 2020,
and in December 2019 will celebrate the 40th birthday of its
famous ship crane »Big Willi«.
