Tracker Live is a service that functions via GPRS which enables tracking almost in real time. You can share
your or your dog‟s position data with other. Collar needs to send position only once and the server shares it to
receivers.
Expences : Each recipient and sender pay the charge for transmitted data. For instance, when the collar sends
location data to the server, the collar owner is charged. When the location information is sent from the server to a
friend with a viewer or owner ID, the friend will be charged. During an active hunting season the daily data traffic
reaches approximately 0,3 megabytes. In addition to that, 10-20 messages are sent daily from the collar.
Tracker Live server is a place where information of all devices and mobile phones is stored when they are
registered to Tracker Hunter®. When you use Tracker Hunter®, the information between the device and the
mobile phone goes through this server.
GPRS functions in GPS-net via Internet. Internet-connection can also be established through 3G, which functions
like GPRS. The positioning information is transmitted via GPRS data packages. This provides more frequent
tracking with possibly much less cost comparing to SMS. NOTE! Depending on the mode of operation and
connections, we recommend that you obtain a GPRS data package from your operator.
Maps and map levels
Maps are downloaded as map tiles via a GPRS/3G/WLAN connection. The size of a map tile is 240x240 pixels,
approximately 20 KB. The downloaded maps are saved on the memory card and can be used on only that phone
on which they were downloaded. For more information on map licences and charging for map tiles, see chapter
Other > Licences.
To allow or deny map loading, choose Menu > Settings > Map.
Map Path indicates which map type and scale is opened when
one presses zoom in (shortcut *) or zoom out (shortcut #). A long
press of the buttons does not change the map level, but zooms in
or out on the same map level.
The custom map path can be defined as follows:
Go to the Menu and choose Map levels > Select Map Path.
Choose the map path with the map layer icons as necessary.
