Methodischer Hinweis<br />
Das Lesen und die Bearbeitung dieses Textes sind natürlich nicht <strong>für</strong> eine einzelne Stunde<br />
bestimmt. Je nach Leistungsstand der Schülerinnen und Schüler sollten <strong>für</strong> diese Geschichte<br />
etwa 2 - 3 Unterrichtsstun<strong>den</strong> geplant wer<strong>den</strong> und ist im Sinne der Vorbereitung auf das<br />
Lesen einer Ganzschrift gedacht. Die Geschichte bietet auch eine gute Möglichkeit als<br />
Projekteinheit eingesetzt zu wer<strong>den</strong>.<br />

Quincy and Joey<br />
“You can’t trust 1 people,“ Quincy said to me some years ago. I didn’t believe 2 it then but she<br />
was right.<br />
We were on holiday with our family in California. On the last morning I was in the sea and<br />
Quincy was in her favourite tree. The family finished their breakfast on the beach and said:<br />
“Come on, Joey. We’re going to leave 3 in twenty minutes.”<br />
I played in the water for a few minutes. Then I walked back to the campsite 4 . I saw Quincy<br />
still in the tree. Then I looked for the family but they weren’t on the beach.<br />
“Well, where are they?” asked Quincy from her tree. “You needn’t tell me. You can’t trust<br />
people.”<br />
She was right. Our family forgot 5 us. We waited but they didn’t come back.<br />
It was a long way to Great Falls, Montana. 800 miles! Our family lived there. So we left the<br />
campsite and the sea and started our journey 6 . The first day was okay. Quincy caught two<br />
small rats. I wasn’t hungry. And we found a nice bed near an old farmhouse.<br />
We got up the next morning and walked east again. On the second day I was very hungry.<br />
