Niveaubestimmende Aufgaben Englisch Schuljahrgang 6
“Let’s sleep here,” said the cat. We woke in the evening and Quincy looked at me and then at
her bad foot.
“I’m so tired. I can’t go on,” she said.” Leave me here. You can get to Great Falls alone but
not with me.”
I didn’t know what to do. Quincy closed her eyes again and said:
“Go on, Joey. Leave me here. You can’t help me now.”
So I left her and walked on. Five minutes later I came to a road. I was careful 18 because I
could hear voices again. Was it the dog-catchers? No. It was a mother with two children. And
I knew them!
I ran out from the bushes and the children saw me.
“Look mum! It’s Joey, isn’t it?”
Our family’s neighbours were a very nice family. They followed me into the forest and we
soon found Quincy. They took her to their car and twenty minutes later we were in Great
Falls.
Our family were so happy. They took Quincy to the vet and her leg is fine again now. But
next year they are not going to take us on holiday.
18 to be careful – vorsichtig sein
