with thick shoots, thicket-like, and overhanging when older;
leaves light green, lanceolate, up to 12 cm long, evergreen, somewhat
frost sensitive when young (hence winter protection is
recommended) - a popular plant, suitable as a specimen or in
groups, for hedges, troughs, as wind and visual protection; prefers
moist soils and high humidity. H, K, S. Zone 6b.
