Das Kulturstädtchen „Katara“ erstreckt sich über ein Gebiet von
mehr als 2.590.000 km², östlich der traumhaft weißen Küste der
Hauptstadt Doha. es wurde gebaut, um Touristen aus aller Welt
anzuziehen. Die Architektur der Gebäude erinnert an ein altes,
traditionelles, katarisches Örtchen. neben zwei Lehmbauten, die
wie überdimensionale Bienenkörbe in den Himmel ragen, sind auch
Häuser aus Marmor vorzufinden. Katara sieht sich als Zentrum für
Kultur, Treffpunkt für Künstler und als einen Ort der multikulturellen
Gastronomie – kurzum eine Oase, die durch ihre Vielfältigkeit
Reisende und Künstler inspiriert.

Katara Cultural Village extends over more than 2,590,000 km²
east of the magnificent white sand dune coast of Doha, the capital.
The architecture in Katara, which was built with the goal of
attracting tourists from the world over, is reminiscent of traditional
Katar villages. The village contains two mud constructions, which
reach skyward like oversized beehives, as well as marble buildings.
Katara is striving to become a cultural centre, a gathering place
for artists, and a centre of multicultural cuisine – in short, an oasis
whose multiple facets inspire travellers and artists alike.
