On motion of M. Huber Hess„seconded by William T, Kock, it was
ordered that the above bills be, -paid.
The Secretary read to Council the following communications:
Lett;er of Charles S. Weller, Executive Officer, Beer and
Liquor Division, Department of Agriculture, State o f South
Dakota, inquiring concerning a forty-one foot (sic. ) rattle

snake allegedly found. near, Strasburg, Pa, , on October 3, 1926 ~
A letter from Roberts R. Appel, Chairman of the Lancaster
County Committee Pennsylvania Economy League.
A letter from the Department of Forests and Waters, re-
questing the Borough to place their order for trees ~
The Secretary reported to Council that he had informed the Electors
of Strasburg Borough, by advertisements inserted in the Strasburg Weekly
News, in the issues of January 15th, 22nd and 29th, that the proposed.
Budget for the Borough was on f ile in the office of the Borough S ecretary
and it was open for public inspection daily between the hours of 7:00'
and 10:00 P. M.

the Tax Cj cP~~. ance for the year 1938 was read by the Secretary and adopted
by vote of 6 ayes and no nays ~
On motion of H ~ C. Kaufman, ~seconded by Harold. H. Messner, the Bor-
ough Budget for the year 1938, on t;he form required by law, was adopted
by vote of 6 ayes and no nays, copy of which Budget is attached to tie se
Minutes, and. made a part hereof.
In connection with the adoption of the Budget as part thereof on
motion of H. C. Kaufman, seconded by Harold H. Messner, the Appropriation
Resolution containing the anticipated receipts and appropriations for the
year 1938 was adopted. , copy of which is hereto attached and made part
