MINUTES OF MEETING OF STRASBURG BOROUGH COUNCIL HELD DECEMBER 5, l958 ~ The meeting was called to order by. Sherman W, Book, The follovring were present: Burgess Prank B. Koch Water Superintendent Jacob HE Ranck Secretary John Milton Ranck The following members of Council were present: M. Huber Hess Harold H. Messner Sherman W. Book Wm, T ~ Koch Fred L ~ Homser (Ex-Councilman) E ~ R ~ Murphy Chas ~ M, Miller The Minutes of the previous meeting were read ard approved. Jacob H. Ranck, Water Superintendent, reported. that the springs were slightly weaker and that the stand pipe was about one-half . full, but that there was a good overflow at the reservoir. . He also reported that three new connections had been made and one renewals The new connections were for the properties of . John Milton Ranck, two for Walter Hassel, and. the renewal was for the propertyof Walter Sample, He also reported that a leak at the Erm Foulke property had. been repaired ~ Fred 'LE Homsher reported to Council concerning certain arrangements made Sp'-: the Water Main, Cleaning Company, showing the complete layout, connections ~ couplings and location thereof of the Strasburg Borough water sys tern, The Secretary was directed to have a copy placed in the Minute Book and copies given to the Water Superintendent and Water Committee, William T ~ Koch reporting for the Street Committee, stated that work was being done on North Jackson Street by the Borough, Township and * State under an agreement that each should bear one-third. of the expense, From informa tion received it would appear that the State was now 0 unwilling to bear its share of the expense, Jacob H. Ranck reported that he had. cleared. away the snow from the fire plugs and Borough sheds,
