MINUTES OF MEETING OF STRASBURG BOROUGH COUNCIL HELD AUGUST 7, 1939 ~ The meeting was called to order by Milton H. Ranck, President. The following were present: Burgess Frank B. Koch Water Superintendent Jacob H. Ranck Secretary John Milton Ranck and the following members of Council: Milton H:, :: —, Ranck H. C ~ Kauf man M. Huber Hess Harold H. -Messner Sherman W ~ Book William T. Koch E. R. Murphy Chas. M. Miller Leon C. Hensel Ex-Councilman Fred L. Homsher The Minutes of the previous meeting were read. and. approved, Jacob H". Ranck, Water Superintendent reported plenty of overflow at both places; that he had mowed the banks; that he had tested the hose; the he had made a renewal at the Book property onEMain StreeT; that the new line on Franklin Street was about completed; that he had tapped, the Harry Smith' line and finally that c n was being made in delinquent water accounts. He also reported that he had installed. a meter, . '. in, the Howard Mowery property, east of the Borough. The Borough Solicitor was directed to write H. H. Groff and inform him that $30. 00 delinquent water rent was owing on property 201 Miller Street, now occupied by George Herr, and that it was the thought of Council to publish a lis t of delinquents ~ The Secretary read a communication from the Chemical Company relative to putting chlorine in the water. Mr ~ Kaufman, of the Street Department, reported. that gutters and streets had been cleaned. Harold H. Messner brought to Council's at'tention the gentlemen' s agreement made between the Township, Borough and State for the three-way
