1.2.3 Teaching In Colors<br />

The so-called “Teach-in“ procedure <strong>for</strong> sampling and storing <strong>color</strong>s into <strong>the</strong> <strong>color</strong> table is done<br />

in <strong>the</strong> tab “TEACHING IN COLORS“ <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> program window (Figure 18).<br />

COLOR SPACE MODE<br />

The currently selected <strong>color</strong> mode is shown in <strong>the</strong> field “COLOR SPACE MODE“ in <strong>the</strong> left<br />

hand upper area <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> program window.<br />

PROCESSING MODE<br />

The currently selected processing mode is shown in <strong>the</strong> field “PROCESSING MODE“ below<br />

<strong>the</strong> field “COLOR SPACE MODE“.<br />

CURRENT VALUES<br />

This field shows <strong>the</strong> current sensor data (<strong>color</strong> coordinates) as <strong>the</strong>y are trans<strong>for</strong>med <strong>with</strong>in <strong>the</strong><br />

current selected <strong>color</strong> space. Beneath <strong>the</strong>se values <strong>the</strong> current <strong>color</strong> is shown as a visible <strong>color</strong><br />

sample (a valid reference white is <strong>the</strong> basic precondition <strong>for</strong> proper <strong>color</strong> representation).<br />

COLOR TABLE<br />

The <strong>color</strong> table is located on <strong>the</strong> right hand upper area <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> program window. Its function is to<br />

store <strong>color</strong>s <strong>for</strong> recognition or classification. On <strong>the</strong> left hand side buttons <strong>for</strong> sampling and<br />

erasing <strong>color</strong>s are located.<br />
