At this point, I would like to request those who wish to write such<br />
a refutation that—if they intend to do this in the spirit of justice<br />
and fairness, and if revealing the truth is their sole motive and<br />
fulfilling the conditions of my challenge is their intention—they<br />
should address all my arguments one by one, reproducing them<br />
verbatim before attempting their reply, so that the reader is left in<br />
no doubt as to whether the argument in question has been adequately<br />
refuted. Summarizing such arguments fails to do justice<br />
to the dynamics of their reasoning and many points are lost due<br />
to the dishonesty, ignorance or naivety of the opponent. Often<br />
the process of selection and abridgement totally undermines the<br />
intent of the original writer. In such cases, it becomes almost<br />
impossible for the reader, who does not have the original text at<br />
hand, to fully comprehend the argument and form an opinion.<br />
Since this is a high-ranking book, and it promises a substantial<br />
reward to anyone who is able to fully refute its arguments, it is<br />
futile and ill-advised to resort to deception and falsehood in trying<br />
to counter it. I therefore reiterate and emphasize that only that<br />
person will be considered honest and seen to have fulfilled the<br />
conditions of the Challenge who quotes my arguments word for<br />
word, in the same order as I have written them.<br />
Thirdly, let it also be clear to everyone that all the arguments<br />
contained in this book—whether they relate to the divine origin<br />
of the Holy Quran, or the truthfulness of the prophethood<br />
of Khatamul-Anbiya’ [the Seal of the Prophets], may peace and<br />
blessings of Allah be upon him, or to the excellences and beauties<br />
of the Holy Quran, and the clear evidence that it is revealed by<br />
God, or to any other matter—have been taken from the same<br />
