God but believes that reason alone is enough to guide mankind<br />

towards Him. They do not believe in divine revelation.<br />

Hadrat—A term of respect used for a person of established righteousness<br />

and piety; lit. ‘His/Her Presence.’<br />

Holy Prophet sa—A term used exclusively for the Founder of<br />

Islam, Hadrat Muhammad, may peace and blessings of Allah be<br />

upon him.<br />

Holy Quran—The Book sent by Allah for the guidance of<br />

mankind. It was revealed word by word to the Holy Prophet<br />

Muhammad sa over a period of twenty-three years.<br />

Indra—A term in Hinduism referring to the goddess of wealth<br />

and good fortune.<br />

Jall—A term in Hinduism referring to god of rain.<br />

Khalifah—Successor. A Khalifah of Allah is a term used for a<br />

Prophet. Khalifah of a Prophet refers to his Successor who continues<br />

his mission.<br />

Khalifatul-Masih—A term used by the <strong>Ahmadiyya</strong> Muslim<br />

Jama‘at to denote the Successors of the Promised Messiah as .<br />

Khatamul-Anbiya’—A title accorded to the Holy Prophet sa<br />

meaning, ‘the Seal of the Prophets.’ An alternate version of writing<br />

is Khatam-e-Anbiya’.<br />

Khilafat—The literal meaning of the term is successorship.<br />

Majnun—A poet and legendary lover of pre-Islamic Arabia.
