Beaman Stadia Arc.<br />

An attachment for reducing inclined stadia readings to horizontal distances, and at<br />

the same time, giving differences of elevation between instrument and base of rod. It<br />

can be attached to Transits with flat vertical circles<br />

having the verniers between the legs of standards, as in ]Vo. 1 c.<br />
