A Standard Size of less weight than transit No. 1 , but larger than sizeNo.2. The telescope has nearly the same power as No. 1 Erecting and when made Inverting' is more powerful. Modern design, ruggedness of construction, and its great lateral rigidity of standards for steadying the telescope's axis place this style on a par with our Yoke Standard Frames, enumerated later on, commending it to all requiring uninterrupted and efficient service in strenuous work.
