3. Twisted-Pair Cable|<br />

The Difference Between Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6A Performance Levels<br />

When supporting Ethernet applications for twisted-pair cabling, the<br />

guidelines below shall be considered. Different applications may require<br />

different cabling performance levels to achieve desired distance requirements.<br />

For example, 10 Gigabit Ethernet at 100 meters will require TIA Augmented<br />

Cat 6 or ISO E A cabling.<br />

Table 3.3 shows the maximum twisted-pair cabling distances from the<br />

TIA wiring and IEEE Ethernet standards.<br />
