AZ Bio Sentences

Description: The AzBio Sentence Lists were created at Arizona State University
and evaluate speech understanding. The sentence materials are available on
an audio CD designed specifically for use with a clinical audiometer. Each CD
contains 15 lists of 20 sentences, a soundfield calibration noise, and a 1000 Hz
calibration tone. A 10-talker babble noise runs continuously on the second track
of the CD. Score sheets are available for download as a printable pdf or as an
Excel spreadsheet that allows inclusion of information such as patient
information, sentence scores, and notes. The Excel version will automatically
calculate percent correct scores.

Bamford-Kowal-Bench Sentence In Noise Test (BKB-SIN)
(Etymotic Research, 2005)
Description: The BKB-SIN uses 18 equivalent list pairs for estimating SNR loss.
CD 1 (Standard BKB-SIN) has the target talker and background babble
recorded on the same channel of the CD, at pre-recorded signal-to-noise ratios.
CD 2 (Split Track BKB-SIN) has the target talker and background babble
recorded on separate channels of the CD. The BKB-SIN features Bamford-Kowal-
Bench sentences in four talker babble, uses less complex sentences than the
QuickSIN, and has norms for children, adults, and cochlear implant users.
