GYMNASIUM AND ATHLETIC FIELD FOR WOMEN<br />

<strong>The</strong> gymnasium, situated in the basement <strong>of</strong> the new dormitory,<br />

is modern in all respects. It has a floor space sixty-four feet long<br />

and thirty-two feet wide, and is used for basketball, indoor games<br />

and exercises. Adjoining this open court are the swimming pool<br />

and dressing room. <strong>The</strong> gymnasium is supplied with steel lockers,<br />

shower baths, and modern equipment.<br />

<strong>The</strong> athletic field has playing space for baseball, basketball,<br />

hockey, track and tennis.<br />

GOVERNMENT AND REGISTRATION<br />

Applicants for admission to college should always write to the<br />

Registrar <strong>of</strong> the college for the <strong>of</strong>ficial entrance application blank<br />

and should have their certificates <strong>of</strong> preparation filled out ac-<br />

cording to the instructions given on page 43. <strong>The</strong> certificate<br />

should then be filed with the Registrar at least two weeks before<br />

the opening <strong>of</strong> the session. Applicants without the necessary<br />

preparation can then be notified before they leave home.<br />

As soon as possible after arriving at college all students should<br />

report to the President's <strong>of</strong>fice in the Main Building. After assign-<br />

ment to the proper classes, the students are given a ticket <strong>of</strong> clas-<br />

sification which must then be presented to the President <strong>of</strong> the<br />

college at his <strong>of</strong>fice. From the President they receive a card<br />

permitting them to matriculate. <strong>The</strong> ticket <strong>of</strong> classification and<br />

the matriculation card are then presented to the Treasurer in his<br />

<strong>of</strong>fice in the Main Building. On the payment <strong>of</strong> fees the student's<br />

name is <strong>of</strong>ficially enrolled on the register <strong>of</strong> the college.<br />

Official classification and payment <strong>of</strong> fees are necessary pre-<br />

requisites to enrollment.<br />

STUDENT SUPERVISION<br />

<strong>The</strong> President, through inspection <strong>of</strong> the monthly class reports<br />

and personal interviews, endeavors to fcHlow carefully the progress
