Now, more than ever, parishes and missions have a critical stake in the education of men and women who will preach from their pulpits. Over the years many parishes have made contributions to seminaries in thanksgiving for the education and ministry of their clergy. We encourage you to celebrate their ministry by supporting Virginia Seminary this year. Your parish support of theological education under the 1% Plan helps assure excellence in the education of those serving the Church’s congregations, as seminaries of the Episcopal Church receive no fi nancial support from the national church. We thank those congregations who have supported Virginia Seminary under the Parish 1% Plan, provided subsidies for individual students, and participated in the Seminary’s extensive fi eld education program in the Washington DC metropolitan area. They are identifi ed in this Annual Report.
