Lila Albergotti of Grace Church, Anderson, South Carolina, is one of two winners of the 2007 Lettie
Pate Evans Award, which honors lay ministry. Mrs. Albergotti’s rector, the Rev. John Hardaway,
VTS ‘95, left, states that she has “a prophetic commitment to care for the poor combined
with the know-how and ability to gather the community of faith to serve in ways that are effective
and sustainable.” The award was presented by the Rev. Dr. Michael Battle, right.
