The 2007 Harris Award The Charles and Janet Harris Award is given each year to a candidate for Holy Orders who has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership ability, and other qualities evidencing fi tness for the ordained ministry. The Award is named for the Very Rev. Charles Upchurch Harris, VTS ‘38, and his wife, Janet Carlile Harris. In the Class of 2007 there are two winners of the Harris Award: Erika Dettra Diocese of Pennsylvania Seth Dietrich Diocese of Milwaukee VIRGINIA SEMINARY JOURNAL AUGUST 2007 Bingham Powell, Diocese of Southwestern Virginia, received the 2007 St. George’s College Prize for study in Jerusalem.
