Valves bac<strong>ill</strong>ar, dilated at the median<br />

portion and at the apices ; the latter with<br />

hyaline inflations. Girdle face showing<br />

bosses (false rudimentary septa ?) clearly<br />

displayed and very smooth.<br />

This genus has been proposed by Prof. Brun<br />

for a fossil form found in Totata, Oamaru, New<br />

Zealand, L. oculata Brun, which w<strong>ill</strong> be found<br />

represented in the text.<br />
