2D6 PllACTICAL BACTERIOLOGY<br />
Patlwgenct;is.-In the natural infection in swine, suppurative<br />
lesions may occur in various parts of thc body, liver abscesses<br />
and arthritis being specially frequent. In cattle, the organism<br />
has been found associated with. a variety of suppurative lesions<br />
-c.g. abscesses, pyaemia, pyelitis, mastitis, etc.<br />
RabbitH can be infected cxperimentally; intravenolls injection<br />
of cultures produces a pyaemic condition with bone<br />
and joint lesions. Guinea-pigs arc less susceptible.
