For educational purposes, a staff l<strong>in</strong>e can be thickened (e.g., the middle l<strong>in</strong>e, or to emphasize<br />

the l<strong>in</strong>e of the G clef). This can be achieved by add<strong>in</strong>g extra l<strong>in</strong>es very close to the l<strong>in</strong>e that<br />
