At the General Meeting on 2 March 2006, the members
approved a new category of membership - Corporate
Members. The corporate market represents a potentially
large, less price sensitive and as yet untapped market
for NUSS. The introduction of corporate membership
can also further strengthen the Society’s connections
with the local business community.
The year also saw another key change to membership
policy – transferability of the NUSS membership at
a transfer fee of $2,000. Angled as a value-added
service, the Sub-Committee is confident that this
move will benefit inactive members.
Lifestyle activities such as social dancing continued
through the year. Targeting the general membership,
the six bi-monthly dinner and dance events that were
organised enjoyed full-house turnouts. A variety of
dance classes were also held to encourage members’
interest in social dancing.
In the year ahead, the Sub-

society that keeps abreast
of the evolving needs of its
graduate members.
