edition. 312 pages. 8vo. Brown leather with corners recovered and new backstrip in brown
leather with raised bands and silver titles and decor to spine. New endsheets. Binding is
very good with very light rubbing to extremities of original boards. Small paper residue on
rear cover. An early gift inscription, a few notes and three ink stamps of former owners on
second flyleaf and title page. Pges are browned with occasional light spotting and uniform
offsetting. Boudinot was a lawyer and early statesman, president of the Continental
Congress, and director of the U. S. Mint. His interest in the Bible and the theory that the
American Indians were the lost ten tribes of Israel prompted this work.
