1931. 1st edition. 303 pages. 4to. Green cloth with gilt titles and
photographic endsheets. Very good with light rubbing and bumping to
extremities. Hinge between front free endsheet and flyleaf is soft.
Former owner's signature and address on front flyleaf and bookseller's
label on back pastedown. Pages are bright and clean. Lavishly illustrated
with sepia-toned photographs of fantastic fish and fabulous Tahiti. A
handsome copy of a very scarce book autographed by Grey on the front

Forest Stream by Heinzman
6. Heinzman, Louis. Framed Oil Painting of a
stream running over a fallen tree in a forest. In
ornately painted wood frame. Painting measures 17 x
13 inches; frame measures 28 x 21 inches. Heinzman
(1905-1982) was trained in Munich and Paris, and
noted for his landscape and desert scenes. He lived in
San Francisco in the 1930s and 40s, painting under
the pseudonym of Louis M. Hamilton to avoid anti-
German sentiment. Following the war, he moved to
Salt Lake City where he died in 1982. One New York
critic once wrote that Heinzman’s “brush is drenched
