Line of Control
Este doar o urmă de stilou. Atunci când în jurul unei furnici este
trasată o linie cu stiloul, furnica ezită mult timp înainte de a trece
linia dar, cu toate acestea, până la urmă ea reuşeşte să treacă dincolo
de această graniţă. Aici se sfârşeşte filmul.
Este o lucrare spontană despre comportamentul individului în confruntarea
cu frontierele, fie ele reale, imaginare, sau metaforice.(...)
Graniţele, fixate de experienţele umane, sunt deseori impuse, asumate
şi acceptate. O frontieră separă interiorul de exterior şi controlul
de liberul arbitru. Filmul nu doar aduce în discuţie, ci şi evocă
aspecte ale noţiunii de „frontieră”, care funcţionează ca agenţi de
control, putere şi bifurcare, fie ele de natură geografică, de gen, culoare
sau orice alt tip...

Line of Control
It is a mere pen mark: when the pen line is drawn around
an ant, the ant is very hesitating in crossing the line and yet
finally it manages to come out of the boundary; this gesture
marks the end of the video. It is a spontaneous work which
shows how one behaves when confronted with boundaries -
real, imagined as well as metaphoric. (…)
Boundaries – those set by human conditions – are often imposed,
assumed, as well as accepted. A boundary withholds
the inside from the outside; it also generates a sense of control
over free will. The video not only addresses, but evokes
several such issues of the notion of “boundary”, which act
as an agent of control, power and bifurcation – be it that of
geography, gender, colour or otherwise…
