„«Jardim Invisível» pune în scenă peisajul nocturn al unui
cartier suburban din Statele Unite. Într-o organizare spaţială
care sfidează regulile de utilizare ale spaţiului public, este
creat un nou univers, în care o siluetă solitară îndeplineşte
sarcina anevoioasă de a uda o grădină aridă.” (Roberto Bellini)
Monotonia şi laboriozitatea gestului au uneori capacitatea
impecabilă de a genera forţă metaforică şi de a invada cotidianul.
Aparenta lentoare a acţiunii poate induce stări contemplative,
hipnotice. «Jardim Invisível» îmbină perfect structura
binară dintre „a sta la pândă” şi „a sta de veghe”. Filmul începe,
prospectiv şi poetic, cu un extras din Calvino şi se dezvoltă
stratificat, prin focalizări progresive, cu intervale contemplative,
unde întunericul devine densitate, tăcerea devine sunet,
ascunsul devine aşteptare. O temporalitate plină, aluzivă,
pluteşte în jur, punctată de spoturi şi becuri, amplificate ca
nişte lanterne reflectorizante auratice.

“«Jardim Invisível» deals with the nocturnal landscape of a
suburban neighborhood in the United States. In this spatial
organization that defies public use a new world is imagined,
in which a solitary figure executes the arduous task of watering
this arid garden.” (Roberto Bellini)
Monotony and laboriousness of the same are sometimes
exquisitely capable of generating metaphorical power and
suffuse the ordinary. Apparent tediousness of the work can
induce hypnotic, contemplative states. «Jardim Invisível»
perfectly accommodates the binary couple “watchfulness”
– “wakefulness”. It starts, prospectively and poetically, with
Calvino’s excerpt and it deploys itself in layers, progressive
focuses, contemplative intervals where blackness becomes
thickness, silence becomes sound, the hidden becomes
expectancy. A filled, allusive temporality hovers around,
punctuated by spotlights and bulbs, amplified as reflectorizing
auratic lanterns.
