Police the police... iată un demers la care participă şi filmul
studenţesc din Universitatea de Artă Teatrală şi Cinematografică
I.L.Caragiale - Bucureşti. Viziunea plastică va fi aşadar însoţită şi
de o viziune filmică. Şi alături de studenţi, va fi prezent unul dintre
cei mai importanţi regizori ai „noului val”, Corneliu Porumboiu, cu
„Poliţist, adjectiv”, film parcă scris pentru tema „supraveghere”. Nu
ştiu câţi poliţişti în uniformă veţi vedea în filmele de scurt metraj
care poartă marca regizorală Mircea Veroiu, Cătălin Mitulescu, Mihai
Chirilă, Vlad Lomnăşan, Florin Iepan, Iulia Rugină, Victor Ion,
Tudor Petremarin, dar sentimentul de supraveghere există plenar.
Mai există angoasă, alienare, neîncredere în cei care ar trebui să te
protejeze... gânduri filmice sau chiar coşmaruri!
Când supravegherea va deveni ocrotitoare şi atât, înseamnă că oamenii
au căpătat un plus de... luciditate!
Police the police... is a proposition which connects students’ films
from the University of Theatrical Art and Cinema “I.L.Caragiale”
– Bucharest. The plastic vision will therefore be accompanied by
a filmic one. Along with the students, there is one of the most
important film directors of the so-called “new wave” in Romanian
cinema, Corneliu Porumboiu, whose “Police, Adjective” seems
to have been dedicated to “surveillance”. I don’t know how many
policemen in uniforms you’ll be able to see in the short films of
Mircea Veroiu, Cătălin Mitulescu, Mihai Chirilă, Vlad Lomnăşan,
Iulia Rugină, Victor Ion, Tudor Petremarin, but the feeling of surveillance
is unmistakably present. There is also anguish, alienation,
distrust for those meant to protect... filmic imagery or even
nightmares! When surveillance becomes protective and nothing
more, it means that people have gained a plus of... awareness!
