Marriage <strong>and</strong> Related Matters<br />

Marriage is a social frame to unit<strong>in</strong>g a man <strong>and</strong> a woman s<strong>in</strong>ce<br />

humans feel, upon becom<strong>in</strong>g of age, the need to love <strong>and</strong> to be<br />

loved <strong>in</strong> return. This love may evolve <strong>and</strong> cause the man <strong>and</strong> the<br />

woman to enter a commitment with<strong>in</strong> marriage.<br />

Marriage <strong>in</strong> the <strong>Christian</strong> religion <strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong> the Muslim religion is a<br />

s<strong>in</strong>e qua non condition to have children. Although the concept may<br />

differ between the two <strong>religions</strong>, there rema<strong>in</strong>s a sort of agreement<br />

between a man <strong>and</strong> a woman to live under the same roof, to have<br />

children, <strong>and</strong> to be father <strong>and</strong> mother. Traditions <strong>and</strong> customs vary<br />

from one religion to another as concerns marriage which may be<br />

preceded by a period called engagement.
