God, He is free from imperfection. Glory be to<br />
God, eventide <strong>and</strong> morn<strong>in</strong>g. There is no true deity<br />
except God. He has fulfilled His Promise. He made<br />
victorious His servant, Made mighty His Soldiers,<br />
<strong>and</strong> Defeated the confederates Alone. Noth<strong>in</strong>g<br />
comes before Him. Noth<strong>in</strong>g comes after Him.<br />
There is no Deity but God. He alone we worship<br />
with s<strong>in</strong>cere <strong>and</strong> exclusive devotion”, ”Oh God, Pray<br />
on our Prophet Muhammad, <strong>and</strong> on the Family of<br />
the Prophet Muhammad, on the Companions of<br />
the Prophet Muhammad, on the helpers of the<br />
Prophet Muhammad, <strong>and</strong> on the Descendants of<br />
the Prophet Muhammad. And bestow upon them<br />
much Peace. Oh my Lord, Pardon me <strong>and</strong> my<br />
parents. Oh my Lord, Have Mercy on them as they<br />
have brought me up when I was little.”<br />
Muslims who are present for the khutba <strong>and</strong><br />
prayer congratulate each other. On this day,<br />
most Muslims visit the graves of relatives <strong>and</strong><br />
acqua<strong>in</strong>tances; they recite the Open<strong>in</strong>g Sura<br />
(Fatiha) to ask God to have mercy on them. It is<br />
customary that these visits come prior to the<br />
prayer of ‘Id. After this prayer, people return home,<br />
offer each other gifts, <strong>and</strong> have breakfast together<br />
for the first time after one month of fast<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
The whole day is spent <strong>in</strong> well-wish<strong>in</strong>g visits to<br />
relatives <strong>and</strong> acqua<strong>in</strong>tances. ‘Id is orig<strong>in</strong>ally one<br />
day. But the Holiday vacation are customarily<br />
three days. S<strong>in</strong>ce ‘Id al-Fitr is related to the fast<br />
of Ramadan whose date changes, then its date is<br />
moveable around the year <strong>and</strong> around seasons,<br />
based on Lunar months.<br />
Some customs related to this Holiday are:<br />
